Didn’t think I would make it.
January was coming to an end and I had yet to set foot in the water.
Saturday rolled around, the weather was decent and I had a window in the afternoon.
Over coffee I vacillated for no good reason other laziness.
So I geared up and headed out.
44 degrees in the parking area and more snow than I expected.
Unbroken snow in woods to water.
40 degree water meant it was likely to be slow, and it was.
Nymphs, low and slow coaxed a couple to play.
It was good to be out.
Love it. It just does the soul some good to get out.
Tom, I am going out today on a creek we both know down near me and tomorrow up on the Gunpowder River. Winds are going to be high, but I don't really care. Great time to fish with line on the water and an indicator...but, must importantly I must go into the mountains
